Event Description:

Countdown is on.....Please join us in remembering our friend Gabby on the 22nd Sep along with supporting women's cycling in Ireland with all profits going back into the sport. This is open to everyone - male and female, youths, juniors and cyclists of all abilities. 

The route takes on the stunning Copper Coast in Co. Waterford, replicating the famous Stage 4 of Ras na Mban 2023. Read below for important information you need!  

Start Time : 09:00 

Start/Finish Location : Gordon's Shop, Clonea Beach, Dungarvan, X36 P085 (bring your togs for after), Parking facilities in Gordon's Field. Toilets will be available at start/finish line. 

Sign on & Kit Collection : All participants are required to sign on. Sign on will be located at Women's Commission Marquee at Gordon's Shop. Kit can be collected from 8am on the day or from 6-7pm on Saturday at Dungarvan Park Hotel.

Coffee stop at the Whistlestop Cafe (52km) on the historic Waterford Railway line in Kilmeaden. Refreshments will be provided (Water, Energy Drink, Snacks and Bananas) at the stop and for those wanting Coffee and scones from the Cafe they have agreed a deal for those taking part in the sportive. 

 

60km 60km route for Gabriele Glodenyte Sportive 22/09/24 | 59.6 km Cycling Route on Strava

Coffee stop at the Gourmet House, Bunmahon (39km). Refreshments will be provided (Water, Energy Drink, Snacks and Bananas) at the stop and for those wanting Coffee and scones from the Cafe they have agreed a deal for those taking part in the sportive.

 

There will be refreshments at the finish line and Gordon's shop will also be available pre and post event serving Coffee and pastries.  

 

We hope to see as many people as possible out on their bikes to enjoy this route and celebrate Gabby. All proceeds will go to the Women's Commission who work to promote and support women's cycling. Gabby was an advocate for women's cycling and always wanted to help the women's racing scene grow in Ireland.
